Abstract

This study aims to analyze research trends in Madrasah Ibtidaiah teacher education using a bibliometric approach with the VosViewer software. The study utilizes a dataset from Dimensions, comprising 476 documents published between 2021 and 2025. Bibliometric analysis was conducted to identify publication patterns, author collaboration, citation networks, and the main emerging themes in this field. The findings indicate a significant increase in publications related to Madrasah Ibtidaiah teacher education in 2023. The most prominent keywords include teachers, students, learning, the Covid-19 pandemic, and Indonesia, suggesting that research in this area largely focuses on the role of teachers in the learning process, particularly in the context of the pandemic. Additionally, clusters related to educational policies, such as Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn), curriculum, and school principals, highlight research on policy implementation in the madrasah environment. This study provides valuable insights for researchers, educators, and policymakers to understand the development of research in Madrasah Ibtidaiah teacher education and identify potential research opportunities.
