Abstract

The teaching of worship practices constitutes a vital component in shaping students into complete individuals created for the purpose of devotion. However, the implementation of this learning faces unique challenges when dealing with students with disabilities. Therefore, teachers must adapt the instructional methods employed to match both the subject matter characteristics and the specific disability conditions of the students. This research aims to describe the teaching of worship practices at SDLB Negeri Semarang, focusing specifically on the teaching of salat (prayer) practice for visually impaired students in grade 3 and the teaching of wudu (ablution) practice for intellectually disabled students in grade 5. This study is a descriptive qualitative field research utilizing a case study approach. Research data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the teaching of worship practices for students with disabilities must be tailored to the nature of the material and the students’ disability conditions. This is demonstrated by the use of distinct instructional methods for students with different types of disabilities at SDLB Negeri Semarang. Specifically, in teaching salat practice to visually impaired students in grade 3, the teacher utilized the modeling method. Conversely, in teaching wudu practice to intellectually disabled students in grade 5, the teacher employed a combination of lecture, demonstration, question-and-answer, and game methods.
