OPTIMALISASI MEDIA WORDWALL DALAM MODE OPEN THE BOX UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN BANGUN DATAR DI SEKOLAH DASAR

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of wordwall media in open the box mode in improving grade 1 elementary school students' understanding of the concept of flat shapes. The method used was Pre-experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest method, involving 21 students as part of the sample. The research process was conducted in two meetings, where one meeting was used to carry out the pretest and the next meeting to provide treatment and posttest. From the analysis, there was a significant increase in the average student score from 71.96 in the pretest to 86.88 in the posttest. The wilcoxon test yielded a significance result of 0.000 indicating a significant difference between students' understanding before and after the application of learning media. In addition, simple linear regression analysis showed that wordwall media contributed 55% to the improvement of students' understanding of flat shapes. These findings lead to the conclusion that the use of interactive media such as wordwall can be an effective alternative in improving math learning outcomes in the lower grades.
